(EST), for our Link Training Teleconference. During the Teleconference, Director of Operations Elana Silber will introduce our Link Manual, which includes guidelines for Links participating in the Link Program and resources to share with the women with whom you are paired.

Sharsheret will present the conference, “Exploring the Connection Between Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer,” in Teaneck, New Jersey on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. The event will attract breast cancer patients, their families, and health care professionals. Panelists Dr. Elizabeth Poynor (Gynecological Oncologist, private practice) and Dr. Noah Kauff (Geneticist, Clinical Genetics and Gynecology Services at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center) will discuss the genetic link between breast cancer and ovarian cancer and the recommended follow-up and screening practices.

Sharsheret will join thousands of women and men gathering in New York City's Central Park to participate in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's Race for the Cure, a monumental breast cancer fundraising and awareness event. Team Sharsheret will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Race Day on the northeast corner of 74th Street and Central Park West for a Team Sharsheret photo.
