Celebrating Sharsheret’s 5th Anniversary At Annual Benefit Luncheon

Teaneck, New Jersey (April 18, 2007) – Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting Jewish women facing breast cancer, will celebrate its 5th Anniversary by honoring the mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends who have touched the lives of breast cancer survivors at its Annual Benefit Luncheon on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Benefit Luncheon Co-Chairs Sharon Herenstein and Nikki Sausen (of Bergen County, NJ) expect the event to attract 500 women and men.

Sharsheret will recognize the strong dedication and valuable contributions of Guests of Honor, Sharona and Ariel Schochet (of Teaneck, NJ) and Sheera Landsman (of Holliswood, NY), recipient of the Lisa Altman Volunteer Tribute Award. The Benefit Luncheon will welcome best-selling author, Brad Meltzer as the Keynote Speaker, and will feature a silent auction and an introduction to new Sharsheret programs supporting Jewish women facing breast cancer nationwide. “The Sharsheret Benefit Luncheon will be especially meaningful this year as we celebrate five years of service to the Jewish community and to women facing breast cancer,” said Director of Operations Elana Silber. “We look forward to honoring those whose continuous support and dedication have enabled Sharsheret to grow from a handful of volunteers into a strong national organization.”
