Host a Sharsheret program at your camp. Empower and educate the next generation about their health and wellness through age-appropriate, meaningful programs. From challah bakes to athletic tournaments, Sharsheret helps you plan custom programs and provides free giveaways and educational resources for both staff and campers.
Sharsheret Pink Challah Bake
Host a Sharsheret Pink challah bake with the campers and staff and blend tradition with purpose. Make a blessing for healing and support or say Tehillim (Psalms). Incorporate Sharsheret’s educational resources and meaningful challah bake materials to spark important conversations.
Athletic Tournaments
Promote physical health and teamwork through organized sports events such as a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Zumba, spin, or a camp-wide walkathon. These events can be branded around Sharsheret’s message of living a healthy lifestyle.
Sharsheret Game Night and Educational Training
Create an educational evening with Sharsheret-themed games and/or educational program sessions such as “True or False” trivia, Sharsheret Bingo or a Kahoot quiz. Staff can also participate in programs educating them about the importance of understanding their family health history, while empowering them to become leaders in their communities.
Busy Box Toy Drive and Best Face Forward Makeup Kit
Organize a toy collection for Sharsheret’s Busy Box or arrange a Best Face Forward make-up drive. Sharsheret will provide a curated list of items, create Amazon wish lists, and provide resources and materials to educate the participants. The Busy Box provides educational resources for parents of young children about breast cancer, and ovarian cancer and prophylactic surgery, along with games and activities collected to engage children during medical appointments or recovery. The Best Face Forward kit supports women undergoing treatment for breast or ovarian cancer with makeup for all skin tones, application instructions, and tips for managing hair loss and skin tone changes.
Meditation and Journaling for Inner Wellness
Set aside quiet time during the day for campers to participate in a guided meditation session followed by journaling. This activity connects to Sharsheret’s commitment to mental and physical wellness and offers a way for staff to educate the campers about the importance of caring for oneself, friends, and family in times of need.
Planting for Purpose
Lead a pink flower planting activity on the campsite, using flowers such as tulips or zinnias. Enhance the garden with a sign to recognize Sharsheret and the women and families we support.
Educational resources, speaker talking points and videos, and giveaways-all free of charge. Sharsheret will also set-up Busy Box and Best Face Forward wish lists and fundraising pages.
Your Sharsheret event will help spread the word about our programs and will introduce your community to our community of support. Join thousands of Sharsheret supporters who are developing innovative and exciting community-wide events, educational panel presentations, mah jongg events, walks, Pink Shabbat weekends, cocktail parties, pink challah bakes, and community servive programs. Remember to check back with us after the event and let us know how it went!
