Teaneck, New Jersey (May 9, 2017) – Sharsheret, the only national not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of Jewish women and families, of all backgrounds, facing breast and ovarian cancer, will host a free national webinar: “Navigating the Complicated World of Advanced Breast and Ovarian Cancer,” on Tuesday, May 23rd at 8 pm EDT/5 pm PDT.
The webinar will focus on the unique issues of younger women navigating the complicated world of metastatic breast cancer and recurrent ovarian cancer. Adam Brufsky, MD, PhD, and Mira Hellmann, MD, FACOG, will share the latest critical updates including information about bone health, clinical trials, and genetics. A Sharsheret peer supporter will share her personal story and a live question and answer session will follow the presentation.
“Women living with advanced breast and ovarian cancer call Sharsheret with specific questions and concerns, and are looking for specialized resources and support,” said Director of Support Programs Adina Fleischmann. “The upcoming webinar will offer the latest information they need to know on bone health, clinical trials and genetics, empowering the women of Sharsheret to better navigate the challenging and complex world of advanced cancer.”
