Nava got connected with Sharsheret in her home in Connecticut! For Nava’s project, Nava collected makeup products for Sharsherets Best Face Forward® Program program and Fundraise for Sharsheret! Two projects for one fantastic Bat Mitzvah celebration! For Best Face Forward, Nava posted an online list of items and gathered products from her friends, family, and community members. In the kits Nava helped collect, there are easy-to-follow makeup instructions, makeup products for all skin tones, easy-to-follow makeup application instructions, and tips for those facing hair loss and changes to skin tone. The kits are then sent to women undergoing chemotherapy or radiation for breast or ovarian cancer. As mentioned above, Nava also helped raise money for Sharsheret’s many programs. In the kitchen, Nava mixed together ingredients to create and sell everyone’s favorite treats on behalf of Sharsheret: lemonade and cookies. When life gave Nava lemons, she truly made lemonade! Between three lemonade stands, Nava raised over $500!
