I chose this organization because two members of my family — my grandma, Heather, and my great aunt, Ann — have both suffered from breast cancer. This is a cause that is close to my family. What I love about Sharsheret is the ways they support each person’s individual needs. While many people have breast and ovarian cancer, no person’s journey is identical to another’s. Sharsheret recognizes that while some people need emotional support, others need financial support or practical support. Seeing each person and their unique needs is crucial to providing the kind of help that really makes a difference.
