SPEAKER BIOS
Marissa Kaufman’s connection to Sharsheret began when her mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2010. She learned more about the organization 12 years ago when she joined Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority at Indiana University, where she learned about how AEPhi gives back to Sharsheret. Sharsheret then supported Marissa beginning in 2022 through her own breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survival. Marissa is now an active and dedicated Sharsheret volunteer who shares her story at events and through blog posts and serves as a peer supporter. She is passionate about giving back and supporting others on their cancer journeys. Marissa is the senior community lead at WeWork, a global co-working and flexible office space and hospitality company. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she dedicates her time to her friends and family, enjoying her love of challah baking, and living life to the fullest. Marissa and her husband, Josh, live in Dallas, TX.
Simone Noble’s connection to Sharsheret sparked when her mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2010. She learned more about the organization as she watched her twin sister Marissa battle and survive breast cancer in 2022. Marissa became more involved in Sharsheret, which helped connect Simone to a peer during her journey of a preventative double mastectomy. Simone is grateful for Sharsheret’s support throughout her preparation and recovery. Simone is now an active and dedicated Sharsheret volunteer who shares her story about taking preventative measures and takes leadership roles to get involved in the community and educate others about the organization. Simone is a speech-language pathologist at Lifepath Systems, working with infants and toddlers with developmental challenges. In her free time, Simone works as a spin instructor at the JCC and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially outdoors. Simone and her husband, Aaron, live in Richardson, TX.
