Finding A New Normal: Helping Your Patients Manage Survivorship

June 4 @ 1:00 pm EDT

Calling all healthcare providers!

Sharsheret’s Finding A New Normal: Helping Your Patients Manage Survivorship is a one hour interactive training that addresses the complicated transition from active treatment to ‘survivorship,’ including the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients. Participants will explore national survivorship guidelines, simple ways to enhance survivorship support, and the impact that support has on physical healing. Also included is an introduction to Sharsheret’s free psychosocial support for breast and ovarian cancer patients.

  • Participants will understand that the transition from cancer patient to survivor is a complicated process, and will learn to address the distinct needs of survivors.
  • Participants will recognize that emotional and spiritual healing is an important part of survivorship and often occurs in tandem with physical healing.
  • Participants will learn about the free survivorship support opportunities and resources available to their patients through Sharsheret and be introduced to additional survivorship resources in the oncology field.

Free CE credit may be available through ASWB, NYSW, ANCC, and ACCME.
