The Zen of Challah Making with Dr. Beth Ricanati
December 9 @ 8:00 pm EST
Join us for an innovative mash-up of two Sharsheret programs you already love! Sharsheret in the Kitchen and Shalom, Shabbat! will be joining forces for one fantastic program. Dr. Beth Ricanati, author of Braided: A Journey of a Thousand Challahs, will demonstrate making challah dough, provide some ideas for healthy ingredient options, and discuss the grounding, meditative nature of making challah. Living healthfully isn’t simply what you eat, but taking opportunities to be present in the moment. Challah making provides us with a wonderful chance to embrace the moment and enhance your Shabbat celebration! We’ll provide some recipes, or you can use your favorite. We encourage you to make challah along with us. This program is part of the “Sharsheret in the Kitchen” series, which brings nutritious kosher meal options to help empower all of us at risk for breast and ovarian cancer to make healthier diet choices.
