The webinar features Karen E. Hurley, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in hereditary cancer risk, Adjunct Professor at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Columbia University, and Sharsheret Medical Advisory Board Member, and Shera Dubitsky, MEd, MA, Director of Navigation and Support Services at Sharsheret, who will present critical information about the emotional impact experienced during cancer treatment and throughout the survivorship years. The experts will highlight the effects of cancer on emotions, coping skills to help balance life with cancer, and the impact of cancer on relationships. The webinar also features a Sharsheret cancer survivor who will share her personal story.  A live question and answer session will follow the presentation.

“Women newly diagnosed with breast cancer and ovarian cancer, and those in their survivorship years, from all across the country, reach out to Sharsheret to discuss their emotions,” said Director of Support Programs Adina Fleischmann. “This webinar will provide women facing cancer with an opportunity to have their emotional needs addressed and acquire coping skills to navigate the ups and downs of cancer treatment and survivorship”.
