Maya Angelou said, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” This is a great sentiment to kick off Cancer Survivor Month, which provides an opportunity to recognize cancer survivors, thrivers, and those living with cancer. During this interactive webinar participants will learn how to “thrive” and not just “survive,” by focusing on the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine: physical activity, healthy eating, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and the power of personal connections. Participants will learn how tools from lifestyle medicine can optimize health, well-being, and outcome from cancer. Our expert is Dr. Amy Comander, a breast oncologist and lifestyle medicine expert.
