About Dr. Dadwal:
As the Chief of City of Hope’s Division of Infectious Diseases, Dr. Dadwal has been on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Dadwal specializes in treating cancer patients who develop infections, a frequent complication of chemotherapy and transplants. His research focuses on understanding the mechanics of such infections, and finding new ways to control them.

After receiving his medical degree in India, Dr. Dadwal continued his training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and Charles R. Drew/Martin Luther King Hospital in Los Angeles. He is currently the principal investigator in a clinical trial researching an innovative new treatment for cancer patients with COVID-19.
