Dr. Caryn Gamss
Dr. Caryn Gamss earned her degree in medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and graduated with honors as part of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Gamss continued her training in Diagnostic Radiology and subspecialty training in Breast Imaging and Neuroradiology at Montefiore Medical Center, New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Gamss has been working at Murray Hill Radiology and Mammography for the past seven years and believes that good communication and continuity of care offer the best possible results. Her goal is to provide care in a manner that keeps the patient calm and emotionally supported. This helps to ensure that the patient will continue to undergo annual mammograms and not abandon screening out of fear and anxiety.
Dr. Gamss’ clinical expertise includes a variety of modalities including mammography, ultrasound and MRI. She is experienced at breast interventional procedures such as stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI-guided biopsies.
On a personal note, Dr. Gamss is married and lives with her husband, and they are happily raising two children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid skier and aspiring tennis player.

A lifelong advocate of women’s health, Dr. Tashman has served as an associate radiologist at Murray Hill Radiology and Mammography since 2000. She is an active member of several national and local radiologic societies and organizations.
Amy Mines Tadelis
Amy Mines Tadelis is a 22-year breast cancer survivor, diagnosed at age 28. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and NYU-Polytechnic University and worked in technology project management in the New York office of McKinsey & Company. Amy first called Sharsheret for support in 2001 and soon became an active volunteer and peer supporter, eventually becoming director of outreach and a founding board member. She served as president of Sharsheret’s Board of Directors until 2007. After stepping down from the board, Amy later worked with Sharsheret to implement and manage the Survivorship Program which was a funded grant from the CDC. Amy and her family lived in Hong Kong for 14 years and have since returned to New York, where she teaches yoga and continues to play an active role in Sharsheret.
Kim Kushner
Culinary educator and Sharsheret Board member Kim Kushner is the best-selling author of The Modern Table, I Heart Kosher, The New Kosher and The Modern Menu. Raised in Montreal, Canada, Kim learned to cook at an early age from her Moroccan-born mother and spent summers with family in Israel. In 2005, she launched Kim Kushner Cuisine and now travels the world teaching her wildly popular cooking classes. Kim’s cooking style reflects her busy life as a wife, mother of four, teacher and author. She’s become well known in New York City and abroad for her healthy and hearty dishes made from locally grown produce. Kim’s Sharsheret story began years before she knew how connected she actually was. Teaching cooking classes for Sharsheret gave Kim wonderful opportunities to bring a community together committed to providing support to those touched by breast cancer and ovarian cancer. When Kim learned that she carried a BRCA mutation, her personal Sharsheret story deepened, and she became an advocate for Sharsheret and for protecting one’s health.
