What To Do With A Diagnosis: A Previvor’s Story

Sharsheret Supports Partner, Nishmah at The J in St. Louis will host author Kim Horner. She discovers she has inherited a BRCA gene mutation that puts her at high risk of developing certain cancers, but struggles with the decision to have a surgery to reduce her risk for a disease she doesn’t have and may never get. In Probably Someday Cancer, Kim weaves her personal experience with extensive research and interviews to help anyone confronted with difficult medical decisions face their risk, take control of their healthcare and make informed decisions. Following her presentation, Kim will moderate a discussion with leaders from the St. Louis medical community. The program is a part of the STL Jewish Book Festival.
