LGBTQIA+ Cancer Support

Resources for the LGBTQIA+ Community
Get connected to LGBTQIA+ cancer support resources.
LGBTQIA+ patients may deal with different challenges when faced with a cancer diagnosis. They may have difficulty finding a physician that understands their needs and makes them feel comfortable. They’re more likely to lack health insurance and access to health care, due to a higher rate of unemployment in the LGBTQIA+ community, and sometimes due to discrimination. Fear of judgment and discrimination can also cause LGBTQIA+ patients to skip important checkups and screenings.
Sharsheret seeks to support all cancer patients, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, with inclusive resources. We hope you’ll take advantage of these resources to get the information, care and support you need.
