I Run For Team Sharsheret In Memory Of My Mom
My Mom had an extraordinary life. It was vibrant and colorful and full of love. She was taken from us too soon after she battled with ovarian cancer. Last year, only a few weeks after she passed away, Sharsheret honored my mom in holding the Pie for Prevention sale in West Orange in her memory (and again this year). Immediately after, I was given the incredible opportunity to run with Sharsheret at the NYC Half… it was fitting, because it was something that was SO her and totally not me: she was the tennis champ and the athlete: I am not! And I ran! And I am running again. She carries me to the finish line and I carry her in my heart. I miss you mom.
