I Run In Honor Of My Sister’s Survivorship
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to run the 2018 New York City Marathon as an official member of Team Sharsheret, raising money in support of breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I will be running in honor of my sister Stefanie, a breast cancer survivor.
Growing up in NYC, the notion of running the marathon was a childhood dream. Though not my first marathon, this will be my first in NYC. I’m particularly inspired to bring it home – live this dream – while honoring my sister and her survivorship in the place where we grew up. I’ve been blessed to find an amazing organization to help fundraise for: Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage—before, during, and after diagnosis. Sharsheret nationally assists Jewish and non-Jewish women, men and families with free assistance and educational programs including individual support, peer-to-peer, genetic counseling, parenting and caregiver help, resource kits, outreach events and more.
As a member of this incredible Team, I have raised funds for Sharsheret’s breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services.
