We Run For Team Daniella
On March 15th, we will be participating in the UA NYC Half Marathon as part of Team Daniella through Sharsheret.
We are running to honor our dear friend Daniella Stadtmauer, who is fighting advanced breast cancer with unbelievable courage and fortitude, grace and determination.
Daniella’s husband and four children form the bedrock of her support. However, her journey has also rallied hundreds of friends and family members in acts of kindness, perpetual tehillim (Psalms), offers of help, and unrelenting love. Daniella has been blown away and incomparably grateful for the community that has mobilized around her.
The power, kindness, and encouragement of a community, of a support network, can raise a patient’s spirits and play a pivotal role in their journey. Daniella recognized that early on, which is why she reached out to Sharsheret immediately upon learning of her diagnosis. An amazing demonstration of support was, thereby, supplemented with the resources and guidance of an organization dedicated to lightening this burden in every way possible.
Sharsheret links young Jewish women with breast and ovarian cancer with others who truly understand the journey that lies ahead. Sharsheret offers support and resources to help ease this most difficult challenge for both the women battling disease and their families. It offers support for spouses and children, financial assistance for non-medical necessities like wigs, and so much more. Nobody should fight this disease alone, and Sharsheret guarantees that they won’t.
We are proud to run for Sharsheret. We are honored to run for Daniella. We are humbled to run for the love and encouragement they have galvanized, and ask for your support to enable even more of these important efforts.
