Aephi Sharsheret partnership

From Campus to Community

In 2008, Alpha Epsilon Phi National Sorority selected Sharsheret as a national philanthropic partner. Since then, the relationship between the women of AEPhi and Sharsheret has only continued to blossom and grow, and our link only has become stronger.

AEPhi has honored Sharsheret by hosting hundreds of creative events, fundraisers, and educational seminars. Through Valentine’s Day bake sales, pink parties, and healthy living demonstrations, AEPhi has simultaneously helped to raise over $1 million for Sharsheret, while educating countless individuals about the importance of breast cancer and ovarian cancer education and awareness.

At Sharsheret, we are truly grateful for our partnership with AEPhi, and we cannot wait to see the relationship continue to grow in the coming years. Together, we help ensure no one or family faces breast cancer alone. Get started and raise awareness with AEPhi and Sharsheret on your campus or as an alumni in your community.

Program Ideas & Events

Sharsheret’s campus liaison will work with you one-on-one to identify an in-person or virtual event best suited for your campus. Explore some of our favorite ideas that groups have brought to their schools.

Unleash your competitive side and host a five-on-five basketball tournament with a fraternity on campus. We encourage you to create teams from Greek life and non-Greek life. These teams may compete for prizes while raising awareness for breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

Gather your campus workout enthusiasts for a cycling, yoga, or Pilates. Have a talk at the beginning of the class about the importance of understanding our bodies and our genetics.

Get out your flour, sugar, eggs, and yeast, and host a Sharsheret pink/teal Challah bake. We are happy to send you our Sharsheret Challah baking cards and Challah insights.

Find your favorite AEPhi member and ensure they get pied. Pie-a-Phi is a fun, collaborative fundraising initiative. Consider having a Pie-a-Phi booth at a campus carnival or health fair.

Have your friends hop over to a ticketed, all you can eat pancakes night. Go all out with pancake flavors, toppings, and music.

Host a bra pong tournament to raise awareness about breast cancer and ovarian cancer on campus. We encourage you to use pink cups and balls.

Host a fabulous fashion show fundraiser. Consider auctioning the runway pieces or hosting a clothing sale on the side.

Host a classy bouquet-making night. Arrange flowers while drinking pink and teal mocktails. The flowers can be donated locally to individuals affected by cancer or sold around campus as a fundraiser.

Host a campus sale to raise awareness and funds. You can sell baked goods, flowers, hot chocolate, and more. We recommend handing out Sharsheret educational materials at the sales.

Host a YAD education/wellness event. YAD is a Sharsheret program designed to support college students’ families affected by breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Host an event with the purpose of raising awareness about Sharsheret’s YAD program and spreading support to your fellow students.

Manage a table at a health or education fair on campus. We will provide you with Sharsheret educational resources, giveaways, and talking points. If there is a day dedicated to health on campus, consider tabling in front of the student union. We encourage you to create a new student interest form. If new students sign up on the form, create an event in collaboration with these students on campus.

Alumnae initiatives

Your relationship with Sharsheret can continue to grow even after you leave campus. Alumnae initiatives give you the chance to stay active by bringing awareness efforts into your workplace, neighborhood, or social network. Lead your own activity or join existing programs in your area to help keep the conversation going in places where it matters.

You can also connect through our Young Professionals Circle (YPC), designed for adults ages 21-39 who want to remain engaged. YPC offers opportunities to support awareness, build connections with other young adults, and participate in events with real purpose. If you’re part of a professional or social group, we can partner with you to introduce educational programming and meaningful dialogue.
