A young person with long brown hair, wearing glasses and braces, smiles at the camera while standing against a plain light-colored background. They are wearing a light pink top and are excited to share their bat mitzvah project ideas.

For my Mitzvah Project, I am collecting supplies for the Busy Box and Best Face Forward programs. I am also making bracelets for care packages that will be delivered to women with breast cancer. I chose Sharsheret as my Mitzvah Project because I have seen the impact of how something little like a box of toys or makeup can brighten someone’s day who is going through a difficult time. Many family members and friends have been impacted by various types of cancer including breast, and that motivated me to choose Sharsheret for my Mitzvah Project. A fun fact about me is that I have wanted to be a doctor since I was 3 years old, and I enjoy learning new things about medicine and how the human body works.

“I did this project because I feel passionate about making people’s lives better, especially during challenging times, and this project was a great way to do that.”
