Ivy Chess

I chose Sharsheret as my Bat Mitzvah project because I wanted to help kids whose mom’s are going through breast cancer treatment. My mom had breast cancer 6 years ago and while I was young and don’t remember much, I do remember having a lot of support from my grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends while my mom was going through treatment. I am very lucky and I know some kids may not have as much support because maybe their family lives far away so I thought busy boxes would help them pass the time while their mom is either in treatment or is resting. A fun fact about me is that I am a competitive swimmer!
